Steve has been hard at work behind the scenes for quite sometime in an attempt to take his blog to the next level.
He’s definitely succeeded – he recently launched Golf Tripper, a brand new site that will provide course and destination reviews, interviews, golf gear and book reviews.
He just posted a great interview with Cabot Links founder Ben Cowan-Dewar. It’s a great read – make sure you check it out.
As for me, the “golf season finish line” is in sight. I took a quick trip up north this past weekend with my family and was able to play a round of golf at Ron Garl’s Taboo Resort – it was my third game at the resort since it opened and it was in great condition. The aesthetics are top notch, with a lot of rock outcroppings and lovely vistas but the architecture isn’t really noteworthy. It’s grossly overpriced too but I still enjoyed the company and the day, playing with some of my in-laws.
I’m actually heading down to NYC Wednesday morning for a quick two day golf trip. I’ll be visiting two very notable courses that I haven’t played before, with both listed among the top 100 courses in the States. I’ll likely post a couple of pictures through Facebook and Twitter so if you haven’t done so, friend or follow me on those two platforms for details on my trip over the next couple days.
From there, I’ll have my season-ending blow-off at my home club, the 3rd annual Turkey 2 Ball Invitational. We have 32 of the better players at our club taking part this year, up from 24 the past two years, with a $4000.00 prize/skins purse available. It’s been a great event in 2011 and 2012 and I’m looking forward to running it again this year.
